About Ruby

Ruby is a Researcher at Rethink Priorities, where she conducts and produces research on a range of global priority areas, including the impact of AI in the health sector and breastfeeding promotion programs.

From 2022 to 2023, Ruby served as the youngest woman ever elected to the Colorado House of Representatives, where she passed legislation related to climate change, healthcare access, housing, and tax policy. She also advocated for policy change on other issues such as reproductive freedom, economic development, and land use reform.

Prior to joining Rethink Priorities and running for office, she was an incubatee and researcher at Charity Entrepreneurship focusing on global development and aid policy. Her work at the University of Oxford’s Government Outcomes Lab helped to establish several useful tools for public-sector actors to evaluate impact. Ruby also worked for more than three years as a strategy consultant, helping clients to navigate complex business issues in a variety of contexts.
She joined the GHD team in 2021 after earning her Masters of Philosophy in Economics from the University of Oxford.
